COVID 19

You have been scheduled for an appointment with your respiratory doctor and/or a pulmonary function test.

Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we have had to make several temporary changes to our scheduling process:

  • Many doctor visits will be by telephone or an online platform such as Zoom

  • In person visits will be reserved for patients requiring special attention

  • In person visits will take place at University Lung Clinic OR Kaye Edmonton Clinic (please make note of the location of your visit)

  • Pulmonary function testing, if required, will take place at a separate date and time

  • Pulmonary function testing will take place at University Lung Clinic

Your health and the health of our staff is important to us. University Lung Clinic have instituted infection prevention and control measures as outlined by Public Health and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. Infection prevention and control measures work!

Please follow the instructions outlined below in order to maximize the effectiveness of these measures. Please make every effort to keep your appointment. If you have to cancel, please give us as much notice as possible to open your time slot to another patient.

There is currently a very large backlog of patients who need pulmonary function testing and in person doctor visits. When you arrive for your appointment:

  • Please stay in your vehicle. You will receive a call from the front desk advising you to come up to the clinic.

  • If you have a mask, we ask that you wear it to your appointment. If you do not, you will be provided with one.

  • Please come alone to the appointment unless you are physically unable to do so.
